It is not to be assumed that the positons in the short portfolio are necessarily negatively correlated to those held in the long portfolio. The combined long short portfolio is not a pairs trading system. However the combination of long and short holdings does offer protection from stock market corrections.

The RV5 and SE5 come with TradeStation workspace pre-configured with all indicators in charts and RadarScreens and user manuals that explain in detail how the systems work and how to run them.
